Employee Benefits

In today’s competitive employment market a well-designed benefits package is essential to attract, retain and reward high quality talent.  We focus on designing attractive benefit plans which enable your business to offer market leading solutions.

Global Programs

Experience in arranging global programmes, and mature relationships around the world, are an essential of insuring the modern business.

Tech & Innovation

We have developed a flexible ‘full service’ proposition for today’s technology businesses, and commit to continually innovating our solutions for our clients’ evolving needs.

Business

It is important that the insurance a modern business buys represents its challenges in the marketplace, as opposed to a traditional insurance package.

Charities & Care

Societal change brings new and enhanced challenges to the charity and care sectors, requiring specialist insurance advice.

Charities & Care Practice Consultancy

Never has the obligation to demonstrate that you are following good practice been more vital to those responsible for Care organisations.

Markel

Innovation Broking have been working closely with the Care Practice Consultancy of the insurer, Markel, and can now bring that service to you, whether or not you insure with Markel, and at significant discounts.

If you have attended our conferences (online or otherwise) you will have already met the Markel expert care practice team headed by our good friend Charlotte Rowe who now disseminates her and her 25 strong consultancy team’s expertise built within practicing, council and regulatory environments, for the benefit of the Care sector as a whole.

The main service in their armoury which you will really want to access is their Specialist Care Practitioner Consultancy – this is delivered by 25 specialist care practitioners from the Markel Care Practitioners team, who understand the key issues being faced across the sector, and provide bespoke sector-specific support.  This is either on-site or desktop, on a range of regulatory, risk and commercial matters.  We love this Care industry friendly service and have used it with clients on a variety of projects, from post regulatory improvement requirements, planning new services, to re-opening schools post Covid closure

These services are available, mainly at no cost, to clients who insure with Markel and are now available via Innovation Broking on a “pay as you go” basis.  We know that it’s not always right for every client to insure with Markel – so we are delighted to be able to offer you these class leading services on a stand-alone basis, as few other insurers invest in this sort of support for their clients

We are also able to obtain access for you to:

Legal advice line –access to 40 specialist solicitors who can assist care organisations with legal issues they face on a regular basis. The helpline advises on over 200,000 queries a year, on issues such as CQC penalty notices/enforcement, factual accuracy challenge, safeguarding advice and employment disciplinary. This is a simply brilliant service and many of our clients use it just as a sounding board –while others have more serious issues. In 2021 with Brexit changing employability of many Care sector staff this will be a hot topic.

Law Hub – which can help guide with access to practical DIY templates and guidance. Law Hub is written and created by Markel’s team of expert solicitors who have a wealth of experience advising on legal issues within the care sector. Most lawyers and HR departments in large organisations use this type of service and charge you for passing on the templates
